Clock Solitaire is one of the simplest solitaire games – and one of the few with no decision-making involved. Cards are laid out in 13 piles in a circle (like a clock).

Each card revealed automatically indicates which pile the next card comes from. There are no choices – just watch to see if luck is on your side.

II · Preparation

Lay out the circle
12 piles in a circle (like clock hours) plus one pile in the middle – 4 cards face down each.

Middle pile = Kings
The middle 13th pile is reserved for all four Kings.

Flip the first card
Flip the top card from the middle pile to start.

Each revealed card (Ace=1 to Queen=12) shows which clock position the next card comes from.

Every revealed King is placed in the middle pile.

Pure observation

Winning condition
If all four Kings are revealed before the game ends: the game is won.

Turn over the top card of the current pile.

The value of the card (Ace=1 to Queen=12) indicates the next pile.

Continue flipping
Flip the top card from the indicated pile.

Collect Kings
Each revealed King automatically goes into the middle pile.

Game end
The game ends when the fourth King is revealed and no further moves are possible. If all cards are revealed by then: won. Otherwise: lost – pure luck decides.
